Experience

Since 2005, I’ve been fascinated with the connection of the mind and body, and I continue to explore and build my knowledge every year. By listening to your health history, obtaining a thorough assessment, and utilizing several lifestyle factors including mind-body practices and functional laboratory testing as needed, I’ll work with you to provide an individualized nutrition program to support your health. I specialize in gut health and digestive issues, hormone health (hypothalamic amenorrhea, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid, adrenals), and I’m currently obtaining training and mentoring in disordered eating.

My background includes a Bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing, Master’s degree in Exercise Science, board certified RDN, and many valuable certifications including Restorative Wellness practitioner, CHEK practitioner, personal trainer, Laser Life Coach, Pilates instructor, and Restorative Yoga instructor.

About Stephanie

My pursuit of mind-body wellness began long before I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). In my late-twenties, I experienced a massive breakdown in my body: nagging injuries, chronic fatigue, brain fog, dizzy spells (the number of walls I walked into is mind-blowing), constant upset stomach, gas, bloat (picture third trimester pregnancy minus the pregnancy), significant weight loss, and no menstrual cycle. I was told tests were normal, tests that weren’t normal were flukes, and these symptoms were “all in my head.” I felt hopeless, scared, dismissed, and frustrated with the traditional medical model. While I had a strong background in mind-body movement, I was missing one crucial piece: how to put the puzzle pieces together and get to the root cause. I sought support from mentors and practitioners, became a certified Laser Life Coach, and pursued training in functional and integrative nutrition while I went back to school to become an RDN.

I know many of you have your own unique story. Whatever is going on, it can be frustrating, exhausting, and lonely. If you strive to get to the root cause and not just address symptoms, I’m here to help. My goal is to utilize a sustainable and realistic mind-body functional nutrition approach to support you on your wellness path to feeling good and reaching your health goals.

Since I’m not walking into walls anymore, I have time to enjoy simple pleasures in life with those I love. Some of my favorite things include spending time in nature by walking, gardening, hiking, and bird watching, making bean-to-bar craft chocolate with my husband, reading, experimenting in the kitchen, and traveling.

Sincerely,

Stephanie
